This battery grip/holder is a Pro Battery Grip for the NIKON D80/D90 SLR cameras. The functions are the same as the original NIKON MB-D80. It can hold 6 AA batteries (LR6 alkaline, HR6 Ni-Mh, FR6 Lithium, or ZR6 nickel-manganese AA batteries.) or one/two EN-EL3e Li-ion batteries, doubling the battery capacity of your camera. Vertical shutter release button on the Battery Grip makes shooting with the camera in a vertical position much easier, adding stability to the camera. Beware that the batteries should be put into the magazine before inserting the magazine into the grip!

In this professional edition, it comes with several functional buttons. It will be much convenient while using. It has a tripod socket. It includes an alternate shutter-release button, AE-lock/AF-lock button and main/sub command dials for taking pictures in "tall" (portrait) orientation. It also comes with a infrared remote controller. Within 10 meters, using the controller to the infrared remote control device of the grip, you can control the shutter.
